Members under 18 can enjoy Earnimarket with the help of a legal guardian: a parent or the person legally responsible for them. This page explains how the guardian link works, for the minor and for the guardian.

Who is a minor on Earnimarket

  • 13 to 17: you can explore and buy right away. Selling requires a confirmed legal guardian.
  • Under 13: a legal guardian must create and confirm your account first. Until then, only your age range is recorded.

Your age range is the one you declared when you first signed in. See Confirm your age.

For the minor: invite your legal guardian

  1. After you choose your age range, the window asks for your guardian's email address.
  2. Enter the address, then click Invite my legal guardian.
  3. You see Invitation sent to your guardian. Your guardian receives an email to create their account and confirm their role.

Aged 13 to 17? You can also invite your guardian later. In that case, click Continue without selling for now.

For the guardian: accept and confirm

  1. Open the invitation email and click Create your guardian account.
  2. Create your account, or sign in, and accept the invitation. You confirm on your honour that you are the legal guardian of this minor.
  3. The minor then confirms the link. You both receive an email as soon as the link is active.

What the guardian manages

  • Sale approval: each item the minor wants to sell waits for your approval. You receive an email when a sale needs your review, and the item goes on sale only if you approve it. The minor is told about your decision by email.
  • Monthly spending limit: purchases made by the minor stay within a monthly limit set by the guardian. A purchase that would go over the limit is refused, and the minor is invited to wait for the next month or to ask the guardian to adjust it.
  • Your own seller steps: as a guardian, you verify your identity and connect a payment method, like any seller. See Identity verification for sellers.

Payments and earnings

  • The money from the minor's sales is paid to the guardian's own verified payment method (Stripe or PayPal).
  • The minor can follow their earnings in a read-only view: Settings > Minor Profile
  • If the guardian has not connected Stripe or PayPal yet, the minor cannot sell. The message on the sell buttons asks the guardian to connect a payment method first.
  • Items sold by a member under 18 cannot be paid for in USDC. Buyers simply choose another payment method.
