If you find a Collectible you want but it is not listed for sale, you can make a private offer to its owner. An offer is a one-to-one proposal between you and the seller. The platform pays the gas, so making an offer never costs you any network fees.
You can make an offer when the Collectible is not currently for sale and you are not its owner.
How to make an offer
- Open the Collectible you are interested in.
- Click Make an offer.
- Enter your offer amount. The minimum offer is $0.50.
- Add an optional message to the seller.
- Choose how long your offer stays open: 7, 14, or 30 days. The default is 14 days.
- Submit your offer.
Your funds are placed in escrow when you make the offer, so they are held, not charged. You are only charged if the seller accepts.
What the seller can do
Once you submit your offer, the seller can:
- Accept: The seller accepts your offer. Your payment is captured and the Collectible is transferred to you.
- Reject: The seller declines your offer.
- Counter: The seller proposes a different amount.
If the seller counters, you can respond. Negotiation has a maximum depth of two back-and-forth rounds (your offer, the seller's counter, and your reply to that counter).
Tracking your offers
You can follow your offers in the offers area, which has two tabs:
- Received: Offers other people have made to you.
- Sent: Offers you have made to others.
Offer statuses
Your offers can show these statuses:
- PENDING: Waiting for the seller to respond.
- ACCEPTED: The seller accepted your offer.
- REJECTED: The seller declined your offer.
- COUNTERED: The seller proposed a different amount.
- EXPIRED: The offer reached its duration limit without being accepted.
- WITHDRAWN: The offer was withdrawn.
Offers expire automatically when their chosen duration passes.
