To play inside Earniverse in VR mode, users will need to complete several steps to configure their hardware and enable Earniverse to detect the VR headset configured on the machine.
Make sure you follow each one of this steps to enjoy a fully immersive VR experience!
- Install Steam and create an account. Follow this guideline on How to Install Steam on my PC
- Inside Steam, search for SteamVR and install it on your computer. You can follow these guidelines on How to install Steam VR on my PC
- Follow the instructions given in this link to connect your headset to the PC using WIFI network (instruction for Quest 2 and 3): Connect to PC using Airlink
- Configure your Airlink to use maximum bandwith possible (up to 200 Mo)
- Once the headset is connected, (for Quest 2 and 3) choose Airlink via Wi-Fi
- Launch Earniverse from Epic launcher on your own computer (once Earniverse is installed from Epic Game Store).
- Change your graphic settings to a lower level (VR will consume much more performance)
- When Earniverse or My Miniverse levels load, the system will automatically switch to the headset if the VR headset is properly connected on the same Wi-Fi and using the Airlink mode
Important Notice
If you own a VR headset from other brands, the process is exactly the same as you will need to make sure your headset is connected on the SAME WIFI NETWORK + connected to your PC using an Airlink mode. Make sure to follow the manuals provided by the hardware provider to connecting headsets to your PCs using WIFI Airlink mode.
TIPS: Before connecting in VR, start in PC mode and configure the controller or keyboard/mouse inputs first
